Project AWARE volunteers who need to leave a vehicle overnight for all or part of the event must leave vehicles in one of the designated parking areas identified in the maps below, unless alternative arrangements have been made by the volunteer and approved by the managing entity for the area where the vehicles are to be left. Approval for parking has already been granted to volunteers who choose to leave their vehicles in the designated parking areas identified in the maps below.
PLEASE NOTE: The State of Iowa, Des Moines Area Community College, University of Iowa, Xavier High School, Linn County Conservation Board, Dan Clark & Family, Cedar County Conservation Board, Muscatine County Conservation Board, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, or any other cooperating agency, organization, or individual are not responsible for lost, stolen, or vandalized items or damage from tree limbs, storms, natural and/or environmental damages, or other acts of God. If you choose to leave your vehicle somewhere along the AWARE route, you choose to do so at your own risk.
It is strongly recommended that Project AWARE volunteers leaving their vehicles overnight along the AWARE route also post Project AWARE Parking Pass on the dashboard of their vehicle. Project AWARE parking passes can be downloaded below.
